Worship of Trust…

Life that flourishes in the fullness of God’s will looks like this: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.” (Prov 3:5-7)

Each day, I must renew my focus on this relationship of dependence on the Author of life. “He himself gives life and breath to everything” (Acts 17:25).

Life has a way of reminding us that we cannot be in control, that we are dependent creatures.

At birth, my survival depended upon caring parent’s and siblings, moving around me. Left to myself, I would have died. In old age, we often return to places of dependence. The hard reality, is between those markers, we desperately try to be in control.

Let’s stop fooling ourselves! We must live in reality and choose to depend on God!
