Life Hurts- God Heals
We all get hurt in this life. We hurt, we hurt others and it’s important to respond and not react when you’ve been hurt and disappointed. If you’ve hurt others, repent and don’t just say, “I am sorry,” without a sense of godly sorrow.
Responding to the hurts and disappointments of Life- You will get hurt, but…
1- God Uses The Hurt of This Life For Our Good!
God uses the hurts of this life to bring us to closer to the Master, and to build us up in Him. He uses them to refine our character (Hebrews 12:7-15), to make us stronger (2 Corinthians 4:7; 12:7), and to equip us to comfort others. (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)
2- God Sustains Us and Defends Us When Life Hurts…
“Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” (Psalm 62:8; see also: 2 Thess1:6-10)
3- Remember This Life Is Not The Whole Story. (2 Cor 4:7-16; Rom 8:28)
Let these four truths anchor your soul:
1- You are God not me.
2- You are in control not those who hurt me.
3- Life is not about me but serving others.
4- You have forgiven my sins. (God wants forgiven people to forgive)
I am praying for those who are hurting and suffering in pain. May God heal every layer of your heart, and may He use you to help those who are hurting and broken.
